A ROUND FIFTY exhibitions this year will mark the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso’s death. But perhaps only one is curated by someone who hates him. “I really, really want to stick one up him,” Hannah Gadsby recently declared. The Australian comedian, who identifies as genderqueer, skewered Picasso’s misogyny in “Nanette”, a stand-up special which was released on Netflix in 2018. They have co-curated “It’s Pablo-matic: Picasso According to Hannah Gadsby”, an exhibition that opened on June 2nd at the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
