The wife of South Korea's jailed former president, Yoon Suk Yeol, has been arrested over a raft of charges, including stock manipulation and bribery.
韩国被监禁前总统尹锡悦的妻子金建希因涉嫌操纵股价和受贿等多项指控被捕。
Former first lady Kim Keon Hee denied all charges during a four-hour court hearing in Seoul on Tuesday. But the court issued a detention warrant, citing the risk that she may destroy evidence.

South Korea has a history of former presidents being indicted and imprisoned. However, this is the first time both the former president and former first lady have been jailed.

Yoon was detained in January to face trial over a failed martial law bid last year that plunged the country into chaos and eventually led to his ouster.

The arrest comes after months of investigation into allegations that Kim received luxury handbags and other gifts from a pastor in exchange for political favours, and was involved in manipulating stock prices of a company linked to her family.

Prosecutors allege the former first lady received at least 50 luxury handbags worth over 100 million won ($75,000; £59,000) from the pastor between 2022 and 2023.

She is also accused of using insider information to manipulate shares of Deutsch Motors, a BMW car dealer partly owned by her mother.

Kim's lawyers argued that the gifts were personal presents with no strings attached, and denied all allegations related to stock manipulation.
