The powerful Ecuadorean gang leader Adolfo Macías Villamar has been extradited to the US to face charges of drug and arms trafficking.
厄瓜多尔黑帮头目阿道夫·马西亚斯·比利亚马尔（绰号"菲托"）已被引渡至美国，将面临毒品和武器走私指控。
Known as"Fito", he was recaptured in June, more than a year after he escaped from a high-security prison where he was serving a 34-year sentence for a series of crimes.
绰号"菲托"的他于今年6月被重新抓获，此前他已从一所高度设防监狱越狱一年多，当时他因一系列罪行正在服34年刑期。
He will appear in a US federal court on Monday, where he will plead not guilty to international charges of drug and weapons trafficking, his lawyer told Reuters.

Macías was leader of Los Choneros gang, which is linked to powerful criminal organisations from Mexico and the Balkans.

He is also suspected of having ordered the assassination of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio in 2023.
